The painting below of St Peter’s Church in Forncett St Peter, Norfolk by Pete Jarvis has been selected from almost 700 entries to appear alongside paintings by some of Britain’s leading watercolour artists. The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours’ annual exhibition will be on display at the Mall Galleries near Trafalgar Square between 30 March and 10 April 2011.

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours hold an open submission exhibition in Central London each year and Pete’s work was also selected last year. Founded in the mid 19th century, the Institute has come to be recognised as one of the leading national institutions for watercolour painters.
